B Mobile AI (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates the B Mobile platform at www.bmaiworkshop.co.za. We are the responsible party for the processing of your personal information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

2. What we collect and why — Vehicle owners (Get a Quote form)
When you submit a quote request through our website, we collect the following information:

Legal basis: Consent. You provide this information voluntarily by submitting the form.
Consequence of not supplying: If you do not provide your name, email address, and phone number, we are unable to respond to your quote request.
3. What we collect and why — Workshop owners (Registration)
When you register a workshop account, we collect the following information:

Legal basis: Performance of a contract. We process this information to provide you with the workshop management service you have signed up for.
4. Third-party processors
We use the following third-party service provider to process personal information on our behalf:
- Resend (resend.com) — processes contact details (name and email address) for the purpose of delivering transactional emails, including quote request confirmations. Resend is a US-based provider. A Data Processing Agreement ("DPA") is in place with Resend to govern the processing of your personal information.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Cross-border transfer of information
In accordance with Section 72 of POPIA, we disclose that personal information processed by Resend may be transferred to and stored in the United States of America. We have ensured that adequate protection is in place for this transfer through a Data Processing Agreement with Resend that requires them to apply data protection standards equivalent to those required under POPIA.
6. Data retention
- Quote requests: Personal information submitted via the Get a Quote form is retained for 90 days after our last contact with you. After this period, the information is deleted.
- Workshop accounts: Account data is retained for the duration of your active account, plus one year after account closure, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights under POPIA
As a data subject, you have the following rights under POPIA:
- Access: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to our legal obligations.
- Objection: You may object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at www.inforegulator.org.za.

8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. While we take security seriously, no system is entirely immune to risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
